Rainwater and water-from-air jobs for plumbing businesses

The hardest part of a rainwater or water-from-air system is the part you already do: the tie-in, the pump, the backflow protection and the permit. BlueSignal trains you on the rest and gives you the tools to sell it.

What you already have

  • A plumbing license from the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners, which covers connecting harvested water to a building.
  • Pumps, pressure tanks, filtration and backflow protection on every job.
  • Customers on wells and in drought-stressed towns who already ask about storage.

Where BlueSignal fits

  • Rainwater harvesting: gutters, first flush, a tank, a pump and filters, sized from local rainfall with the free tank calculator and the Rain Planner, which also lists the local rebates.
  • Water from air: the BlueSignal 5 and 21 generators plug into an existing outlet. The larger units are quoted per site and need licensed electrical and plumbing work.
  • Water quality monitoring: the BlueSignal WQM-1 reads pH, TDS, turbidity and temperature every minute and shows them in BlueSignal Cloud. It goes on wells, cisterns, pools, ponds and tanks.

Questions

Do I need a separate license for rainwater?

Texas has no separate rainwater license. The plumbing tie-in is plumbing work, and irrigation is TCEQ Landscape Irrigator work. ASSE Series 21110 is the industry’s rainwater installer credential.

What does it cost to join?

Nothing. The course, the listing and the proposal tool are free. You buy BlueSignal equipment at installer pricing when you sell a job.

Who does the homeowner contract with?

With you. You quote, sign and invoice the job under your own business and license. BlueSignal sells the equipment and runs the cloud the monitor reports to.

How long does the training take?

Eleven short videos, the written lessons, and one unit commissioned live for BlueSignal, on site or on a video call.
