Do you know your water?
We’ll tell you what’s in it.

Sensors, smart buoys, and algae control for lakes, ponds, and wells. pH, TDS, turbidity, ORP — six parameters, real time. Built in Austin, TX.

Problems a level sensor can’t see

Most water problems are silent until they aren’t.

A bad well doesn’t announce itself. A pond turns over at 4am. The softener fails on a Tuesday. You find out after the fish, the plants, the filter.

01

Wells drift.

pH and TDS shift with the season, the aquifer, and the neighbour’s irrigation. The chemistry moves for weeks before a monthly test catches it.

02

Ponds crash.

Dissolved oxygen sags before dawn. Algae blooms days before they show. The fish go before you know there is a problem.

03

Tanks rot.

Rainwater cisterns and hot-tub systems quietly grow biofilm. ORP tells you days ahead of cloudy water.

04

Manual checks lie.

A strip test once a month catches almost nothing. The interesting things happen at 3am, between visits.

The Device

One board. Six probes.

A single open-firmware mainboard reads pH, TDS, turbidity, ORP and temperature — every 60 seconds, in lakes, ponds, wells and treatment systems.

What It Watches

Six channels. Plus a digital bus.

Six quality parameters read every 60 seconds. The RS485 bus and a spare ADC channel take optional probes — chlorine, EC/salinity, or a level transducer if you want quantity too. Here’s what each one tells you.

A0 · BNC

pH

Acid or base — drifts before the fish do.

Range
0 – 14 pH
Accuracy
±0.02 pH
A1 · BNC

TDS

Dissolved salts, climbing or holding steady.

Range
0 – 1000 ppm
Accuracy
±2% FS
A2 · Analog

Turbidity

Cloudiness — the first sign of a bloom.

Range
0 – 3000 NTU
Method
IR scatter, 850 nm
A3 · BNC

ORP

Whether your disinfection is working.

Range
±2000 mV
Accuracy
±5 mV
GPIO · 1-Wire

Temperature

The reference everything else leans on.

Range
−5 – 85 °C
Accuracy
±0.5 °C
UART · NMEA

GPS

Geo-stamps every batch of readings.

Accuracy
2.5 m CEP

Chlorine

Residual disinfectant, 0–20 mg/L — optional digital probe.

Range
0 – 20 mg/L
RS485 · Modbus

EC / Salinity

Conductivity and salt content — optional 5-in-1 digital probe.

Probe · cloud · phone

From the pond to your pocket.

No Wi-Fi needed at the site. The box talks to a LoRaWAN gateway up to ~15 km away line-of-sight, and the gateway is the only thing that needs an internet connection.

01

The probes read.

Six channels sampled every 60 seconds. Raw analog from the probes, converted on-board and stored before anything is transmitted.

The packet flies.

AES-128 encrypted, Cayenne LPP payload, out over 915 MHz to the nearest LoRaWAN gateway — up to 15 km line-of-sight.

03

You get the alert.

The cloud stores it, charts it, and notifies you when a reading crosses a threshold you set. The same data drives the relay.

System Overview

It doesn’t just alert. It acts.

The WQM-1 reads, buffers, and transmits to BlueSignal Cloud. A threshold fires an alert — and the 10 A relay closes the loop: dosing, aeration, algae control. Swipe through where it runs. The same readings feed WaterQuality.Trading, our separate credit marketplace.

Residential

Residential

A well shifts with the aquifer and nobody tests it for months. pH and TDS read every 60 seconds — you get a text the moment either moves.

Ponds & Spas

Ponds, Pools & Spas

Chlorine fades and pH drifts overnight — that is how a pool goes green. The relay drives the doser; the dashboard texts you before anyone notices.

AWG

Atmospheric Water Generation

Condensate picks up whatever the air and the machine give it. pH, TDS, and chlorine read on every batch before it goes to storage.

Nutrient Banking

Treatment-cell readings that mint credits on WaterQuality.Trading.

Stormwater

A failed MS4 report starts months earlier. GPS-tagged retention-basin readings for your monitoring program.

Algae Control

A bloom is days old before you can see it. Turbidity and ORP trends catch it first.

Aquaculture

Dissolved-oxygen alarms wired to the aerator before dawn.

Storage

Offline-First SQLite Buffer

WAL-mode database holds readings locally when the link drops. Syncs automatically once the LoRa link returns.

Radio

LoRaWAN Class A

SX1262 transceiver, 15 km line-of-sight. Cayenne LPP payloads, AES-128 encrypted.

Control

Relay Output

10 A relay for pumps, valves, and dosing systems. Fires on a threshold rule or a cloud command.

Expansion

I²C Expansion Bus

Exposed I²C header for more probes — barometric pressure, dissolved oxygen, or custom sensors.

Every connector, voltage, protocol, and tolerance is on the datasheet — compute, radio, power, and I/O in full.
