Water quality monitoring and storage for well contractors

A well owner tests the water once a year if at all. A WQM-1 on the pressure tank reads it every minute. When a well runs short in August, a rain tank is the backup. BlueSignal trains you on both.

What you already have

  • A TDLR license to drill wells or install pumps.
  • Customers who own their water and have no utility watching it.
  • Every well head, pressure tank and pump on your route.

Where BlueSignal fits

  • Water quality monitoring: the BlueSignal WQM-1 reads pH, TDS, turbidity and temperature every minute and shows them in BlueSignal Cloud. It goes on wells, cisterns, pools, ponds and tanks.
  • Rainwater harvesting: gutters, first flush, a tank, a pump and filters, sized from local rainfall with the free tank calculator and the Rain Planner, which also lists the local rebates.
  • Water from air: the BlueSignal 5 and 21 generators plug into an existing outlet. The larger units are quoted per site and need licensed electrical and plumbing work.

Licenses for this work

  • Well drilling and pump installation are licensed by TDLR.
  • A tie-in to a building’s plumbing is plumbing work.
  • New circuits are electrical work for a licensed electrician.

Questions

Does a monitor replace a lab test on a well?

No. The WQM-1 reads pH, TDS, turbidity and temperature every minute; it does not count bacteria. It shows when something changed, so the owner sends a sample when it matters.

What does it cost to join?

Nothing. The course, the listing and the proposal tool are free. You buy BlueSignal equipment at installer pricing when you sell a job.

Who does the homeowner contract with?

With you. You quote, sign and invoice the job under your own business and license. BlueSignal sells the equipment and runs the cloud the monitor reports to.

How long does the training take?

Eleven short videos, the written lessons, and one unit commissioned live for BlueSignal, on site or on a video call.
