Whole-home water systems
Whole-home smart water systems
A whole-home water system makes water, stores it and checks it. BlueSignal makes the generator and the monitor, and sells them with the tank as one system.

What is in the system
- Water from air: a BlueSignal generator condenses water out of the air and trickle-fills a tank.
- Rainwater where it rains: gutters, first flush and a tank, sized with the free tank calculator and the Rain Planner.
- Storage: a tank sized to the house, so the reserve builds over days.
- The smart part: a WQM-1 monitor on the tank reads pH, TDS, turbidity and temperature every 60 seconds and shows them in BlueSignal Cloud.

BlueSignal XYZ, Inc. is the manufacturer of record for BlueSignal generators: it imports them and sells them under its own name and rating label. The WQM-1 monitor is designed by BlueSignal.
Questions to ask any seller
- What temperature and humidity is the output figure rated at, and what does that mean for your air?
- What circuit does it need: an existing outlet, or a new dedicated circuit?
- How big is the storage tank, and is it part of the price?
- Who checks the water after the tank, and how often?
- Who does the electrical and plumbing work, and under whose license?
- What does the coverage include, and where is it written down?
- Can you see the price before you talk to a salesperson?
How BlueSignal answers them
| Question | BlueSignal |
|---|---|
| Output | Nameplate per unit at 86°F / 80% RH; your quote estimates your address. |
| Circuit | BlueSignal 5 and BlueSignal 21: an existing 120 V outlet. BlueSignal 66: a dedicated 240 V circuit. BlueSignal 1321: 480 V 3-phase. |
| Tank | 305 gal — the Homestead 21 package; 1,100 gal — the Ranch 66 package. |
| Water checks | A WQM-1 on the tank reads pH, TDS, turbidity and temperature every 60 seconds. |
| Install | No permit when a plug-in unit uses an existing outlet. A new circuit, hardwiring or a plumbing tie-in is licensed work by a licensed trade you hire. |

Questions
What makes it a smart water system?
The WQM-1 on the tank. It reads pH, TDS, turbidity and temperature every 60 seconds and shows them in BlueSignal Cloud.
Who makes BlueSignal generators?
BlueSignal XYZ, Inc. is their manufacturer of record. It imports them and sells them under its own name and rating label.
Who installs the system?
A licensed trade does the electrical and plumbing work. A plug-in unit on an existing outlet needs neither.
Is the water from a generator ready to drink?
That depends on the treatment after the unit and on local rules. The WQM-1 shows what is in the tank; a licensed plumber and your local authority decide drinking use.
How much water will I get?
Every BlueSignal figure is nameplate output at 86°F / 80% RH. Your quote gives an estimate for your address.
